The problem is, the only polls that get counted towards a pollster's accuracy rating are their final polls of the race. All the polls considerably tightened near the very end of the race in 2016, and now you have people and pundits today being like "hey, the polls in 2016 weren't so inaccurate, that's just a myth." It's so disingenuous.
Watch it happen again. Seriously. It'll be the end of October or November 1-2 and all the pollsters will be "ooooh, look, Biden's lead over Trump is magically two points now, not twelve, silly us!" Then in 2024, people will write about how the 2020 polls weren't so bad based on those very final numbers and not the garbage most of the pollsters were churning out throughout the bulk of October.

Next we will hear how they will steal it. They have been cheating since Nixon / Kennedy. If we have not figured out how to counter it we are he problem. I trust Trump has a plan. Fake polls. Some pollsters have tried to contact me on my cell phone (at least 3 times) and I’ve refused to answer. I know because the caller ID or text message they identify themselves. It makes me wonder how many times this has happened with others.

Two national polls out today: Same as in 2016

President Trump had a good trend going into the announcement of ACB. President Trump must have known this was going to happen since he had other choices that would have given him a bump in his polling and chose to stick with who he felt was best for the position.
The second debate drove up his negatives a bit which is not good but it did not move the polling.
His hospital visit will give him a bump in the polls which is why the left is hitting him so hard on the mask.
Biden has been spending like crazy recently to gain support and does have a large support base. If I were to guess things are presently tied in polling at this point with likely voters and the Dem cheating.
But President Trumps team has the ability to move these polls. Such as putting forward a vaccine. Or a couple of indictments would go a long way. Why he does not get this done is a mystery to me. And if President Trump lets them rig the debate as they did with the first it will only be a negative outcome for him.

Hillary Clinton is ahead of Donald Trump by double digits with just over three weeks until Election Day, according to a new national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted entirely after the second presidential debate.
In a four-way race, Democrat Clinton holds an 11-point lead over Republican Trump among likely voters, 48 percent to 37 percent, with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 7 percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein at 2 percent.
