It would please me greatly if this was the final nail in his political career. This story has been known here for years yet he harped on the truck driver’s culpability. It sounds as if it ruined the poor man’s life. Yet he never retracted it because he got a political benefit from it. The police even refuted his version of the story. Champion of the little guy? Yeah, right.
