The COVID Chaos Is a Net Plus for Trump’s Campaign
Townhall.com ^ | 10/2/2020 | KURT SCHLICHTER

So, Donald Trump has the Wuhan pangolin virus, and of course he does because it’s 2020 and how could he not have it? With this year, you take the most random scenario, you multiply it by 10, gobble a handful of the brown acid, and just go with it, and even then the whole thing spins even more out of control than you ever imagined. Now the question is what this all means for the campaign. I bet it helps Trump.

Joe Biden’s got to be worried. Well, Grandpa Badfinger‘s handlers have to be worried. That crusty crustacean is probably still napping, trying to sleep off the hangover from all the Namenda and crank they pumped into him last Tuesday to keep him upright for an hour and a half. In any case, change is frightening, and this changes the nature of the campaign. No one, including the Geppettos who pull Bidennochio’s strings, know what’s going to happen. Their Chauncey Gardner victory plan has been disrupted, and it’s not like they’ve got the most flexible candidate. Suddenly, Biden is not the only one who is going to try and do a presidential run from his house. And all the advantages Biden had of being able to hide and not being the center of attention suddenly vanish.

And all the problems associated with being in the spotlight vanish for Trump. While people who aren’t sissies enjoy Trump’s two-fisted, take-no-prisoners style, Trump fatigue is a real thing. He can be exhausting to the weak and squishy who sadly make up a substantial part of the electorate. This diagnosis gives him a chance to pull back, to chill a bit, and when he does that his approval tends to rise as his achievements speak for themselves.

A bit more face time from Pence would be reassuring to many. Calm in the face of danger (contrast with the shrill, giggling idiot Kamalasutra).

Well I hope he wins but going through a suburban neighborhood today in PA, he appears to be in trouble.

A lot of Biden signs in my father’s suburban neighborhood also. It used to be a Republican area.

You know, if all the masks and socialist distancing and the other stupidity works, and yet the PRESIDENT still somehow managed to catch COVID, doesn’t that tend to prove (as if more were needed), that none of the asinine “mitigation” stuff works?

After all, if the president isn’t safe from COVID, who is? (Besides BLM/Antifa rioters, of course)

“Well I hope he wins but going through a suburban neighborhood today in PA, he appears to be in trouble”.

What you saw in one neighborhood is hardly an indicator of him being in trouble in this big USA. Use your head.

Now. Trump gets to out basement Basement Joe. But , at least, Trump has a reason to be in basement quarantine unlike Sleepy Joe whose only reason is he is too old and cranky beyond his years to be out in polite society. He is the political version of Boo Radley.

"Well I hope he wins but going through a suburban neighborhood today in PA, he appears to be in trouble."

That depends on the neighborhood. In suburbs with a lot of D voters you won't see a lot of Trump signs. For one thing, they have been in short supply, and for another, we avoid marking ourselves when it can lead to vandalism and other problems in the community. Look for other indicators such as flags and signs for candidates down ticket. That said, there are a lot of Biden supporters in the populous suburbs. Our job here is to mitigate damage and pray that the rest of PA can pull in enough to swamp whatever fraud the D's can pull off.

Some neighborhoods shift over time. As people move out from the city, inner suburbs tend to become more liberal. It’s a definite pattern. Our county used to be solidly R and now we fight for scraps. It’s tough.

In my lib neighborhood there are no Trump signs. There was one Biden sign but somewhat stole it. The yard where the Biden sign was also flies an American flag. I thought that was odd and then the Biden sign stolen.

In the past there have been more political signs for different races but this year it is quiet. Mayhap being north of Seattle with all the riots the libs are conflicted in their beliefs.
