He’s reportedly 244 lbs with a BMI over 30. That makes him medically and technically “obese”, which is one of the greatest risk factors for serious complications.
He’s also 74, which in and of itself has a reported 90X+ greater risk factor for serious complications over someone in their 20s.
That said, I of course wish him and Melania a speedy recovery. But let’s not kid ourselves on his health and risk factors, either..
Finally. A coherent position. Thank you
Melania also just tweeted that she hasild symptoms.
Pray for the Trumps.
America is 244, so that needs to be factored in.
You are right, according to studies (and there are several now) obesity can raise a persons risk by nearly 30%. My husband and I have been working hard to get our BMI down and we are both at 24% now and normal blood sugar levels.
Not saying that the president is going to get a severe case, just saying we need to be praying he doesnt!
Heres a chart that shows the obesity classes and age risk factors. https://ehrn.org/obesity-and-covid-19-severity/
I worry more about Melania, with her kidney issues. Of course, they have the best of the best in health care, so it will be resolved quickly
