One aspect of the 25th amendment is this: the 25th provides for the President to remove himself from his role, placing the Vice President directly into the role of Acting President. In this case, the President informs the Speaker and President Pro Tem of his disability and upon doing so, the Vice President becomes Acting President. By simple declaration of ability, reversing the prior message, the President can resume power at any time.

This part of the 25th Amendment has actually been invoked, with little fanfare. The second President George Bush turned over power to Vice President Richard Cheney in June 2002 while he went under general anesthesia for a colonoscopy. Previously, President Ronald Reagan delegated his powers to Vice President George Bush when he also underwent surgery, but in the case, Reagan expressly denied invocation of the 25th Amendment. The first President Bush did fall ill a few times during his term, but he never invoked the 25th. In 1996, a panel of historians urged that presidents take greater care when there was to be planned disability such as general anesthesia.

oh please. His survival rate is north of 99.5 percent

Adjusting for age it's more like 95.1%. That's still around 5% too likely for my taste.

My mistake, it was his former Doctor:

Dr. Ronny Jackson, former WH physician, was just on Maria in the Mornings on Fox Biz and he said that the President and First Lady are asymptomatic at the present time.

Boris is fatter. The president is 6’3” and about 240 pounds, which is not very much overweight, no matter how much the Los Angeles Times enjoys using the word obese.

I had to laugh at the people who said he was a bit lethargic at a fundraiser the other night at Bedminster, DUH, after two rally’s a day and running the country it would be miraculous if he wasn’t tired.

LOL!!! Yeah, But I don’t care what he takes as long as he gets better. What I do foresee, especially if he shows up at the second debate on the 15th, is some level of public sympathy, which could develop into a large sympathy vote.

“plunges the country deeper into uncertainty just a month before the presidential election.”

And yet...when hillz was falling down it was no big deal.
Or, when biden was babbling incoherently and acting totally dazed and confused...no worries.

GrahAmnesty is likely hoping the process is shutdown promptly. China virus infestation would be what the Dr ordered. Pinky is loose in the caboose and an unofficial tuffy next year—the democrap darling.

In early stages it is in your nasal cavity. You do the wash so that the virus doesn’t spread to your lungs.

Yes, that’s true, I think. But I was concerned about his being quarantined, and all the tracing necessary if the young man was out and about - possibly carrying it home or away.

Hoping that’s the case but given how he’s always in front of the camera I would think he’ll want to be seen to reassure everyone. That’s just his nature.
