I just wrote similar on another thread. Overall, I don’t think the President did as well as he could have and certainly missed on too many rebuttals, but if it’s winning this debate versus driving a huge wedge between the left and Biden, then yes, driving that huge wedge is far, far more important to winning on November 3.
Some people love Trump because he is a fighter, while some find that approach undignified. The Democrats try to disarm people with a soft and friendly appearance, but they are ruthless and relentless behind the scenes. In short, it takes a fighter to effectively challenge them, however unsavory it seems.
