It is. Years ago insurance wouldn’t cover your pregnancy if you hired in and were pregnant at the time. It was considered a pre-existing condition that happened before you hired in.

That's correct.

It was an issue we faced while mr. mm was job hunting during the time period we were having the kids.

Yeah, that’s the difference between insurance
(which should not pay for the standard predictable expense of pregnancy but only for the unpredictable portion),
and
SOCIALISM (sociocomunofascism)
in which you pay through the nose as you can afford,
then it claims that it pays for everything (in portion by outlawing the people from charging appropriately for their work).

In sociocomunofascism, you are forced to pay “from each according to his ability [not hers? — sociocommunists were sexist, tear down their statues!].

In insurance, you pay while you do not have the condition along with everyone else without the condition, only in order to share expenses on occurrence of an unpredictable condition — you buy peace of mind against unpredictable disasters, an honorable purchase choice.

In cheating, which is what democrats always do, you wait until you get the condition and only then start paying for a little of it, even though everyone else has been paying all along and you mostly take their money. Cheaters cheat both sociocommunofascists, as well as those using normal free-market insurance. That’s demoncrats!

I see. The point being you don’t get pregnant and THEN go shopping for health insurance. I understand.
