If you think the Constitution matters regarding secession any more in 2020 than it did in 1860, you’re a fool.
Again not my problem, I live 3,000 miles away. Oregon HAVE AT IT!! Go full Kansas Bleeding if you want to. We will love to watch it unfold.
Can you post the article and section of the Constitution prohibiting state secession? Thanks. I will wait.
Seriously, are there any conservatives who wouldn’t mind seeing some liberal states go? Once they are gone, the conservative sections of those states can petition to come back.
The same problem most likely will occur in Virginia, and in many other states, since there are pockets of red and blue in most states.
I could $h!t a gold brick too. My guess the people of each state will accept the vote for secession. If they want to move to the red USA then they will. NO KILLING NECESSARY. If the options are stay and get killed or move then the later will be the most viable option.
And if the options are stay and get killed or move and lose everything, all bets are off. Because you know leftists will not pay conservatives fair value for their property.
Before you move you sell everything, Duh. Moving from a secession blue state to the red states would be moving to the USA. Not much of a risk LOL.
not really, the china already has a foot hold in the port of Long Beach.
Like I said please come up with a viable reason why the USA should not be divided into two or three countries. Please do not make boogie man - straw man arguments. Thanks.
Supposed this came to a vote in Virginia:
* Which way do you think the vote would go?
* Do you think the vote would be treated fairly by the Dems?
* Would you sell before the vote?
* What happens if you guessed wrong on the vote?
We need to negotiate the ‘divorce’...
The south part of Illinois might NOT want to go with Chicago... Atlanta might be a blue circle within a red state...
Just because it’ll take time to work out details doesn’t mean we shouldn’t start the process. This can be done peacefully.
* Which way do you think the vote would go?
>>I think they would vote to leave the union with the entire No. eastern states.
* Do you think the vote would be treated fairly by the Dems?
>> I do not understand the question.
* Would you sell before the vote?
>>>No. I would wait. But if the vote was for leaving then yes, I would sell and move.
* What happens if you guessed wrong on the vote?
>>>My guess is they would leave but if wrong I still thinks VA sucks and eventually I am going to sell and leave anyway..
That would be awesome. Save us the trouble.
The blue states arent open anyway. On the bright side, our tax dollars dont have to pay for blue city give aways.
Thank you for your answers. With regard to:
* Do you think the vote would be treated fairly by the Dems?
>> I do not understand the question.
My point was would it be a fair vote, or would the Dems rig the outcome? Given that you think they would leave, it is a bit of a moot point.
IMO If it were put up for referendum then they (VA) would leave. It would be close.
So why not advocate for going back to the founding principle of federalism? Most things should be decided by states. The federal government is for common defense and certain other enumerated functions. Want your progressive ideas in New York? Go for it. Leave the rest of us alone. Secession isn't required. This is how it's supposed to work.
