Do we even really know if Cindy McCain was truly a republican? Knowing McCain, he probably made her vote republican, and I imagine he would be quite hard to deal with if she ever spoke up against something he was doing as a republican. A lot of wives of prominent republicans turn out to be democrats once their husbands are out of the picture.
