This is so damned unconstitutional, unfair, and infuriating. The Constitution sets an Election DAY. Not a week. Not a month. Not a season. A DAY.
But the Constitution stopped meaning anything decades ago.

In close elections, absentee ballots have always taken 1-2 weeks to count. Martha McSally won one of her House races in December.
Often the vote counted on voting day puts the margin outside any possibility of later votes changing things. And mail-in ballots (I’m told) are more frequently disqualified for a variety of reasons.
