All KINDS of fraud can be committed using this method. The clerks handling the ballots once they’re received can do anything. Last week, they blamed it on “the temp” when R ballots were found in the trash.
The only (relatively) safe way is vote at your polling place on election day. If machines are used for early voting, that’s pretty good, too. But paper ballots, whether new “mail-in”, or traditional Absentee, are vulnerable.
Machines can be programmed to change votes, too, so they aren’t 100% safe, either. A video showing this went viral a few years ago. When it was proved to a naive election worker, she cried.
