Because if Flynn is exonerated, it shows the whole deep state plot against President Trump was just that, a silent coup in an attempt to undo a presidential election.
Flynn was originally head of DIA under Obama; they had differences of opinion on policy and Flynn left, then went over to Trump. Obama couldn’t have that. He had to destroy, or try to destroy, Flynn. That may (hopefully) come back to bite him. Hard.
