Piers Morgan is always an interesting read. Hes a liberal, I guess. But he quite often surprises on the upside. Way more often than a broken clock is right twice a day sort of thing.
I suspect that Morgan is actually deep down a conservative. Or a libertarian anyway. He just has great difficulty in shedding that liberal skin of his.

I am reminded of one of my high school English teachers. A widow from WW II, she was devoted to my Catholic high school and its students. And liberal but deeply principled, she approved of and encouraged my reading of Conscience of a Conservative because she thought it important for me to develop my conservative political views instead of being ignorant. That type of liberal is so rare these days as to be functionally extinct.

For Morgan, that would be like becoming a Tottenham Hotspurs fan, after being an Arsenal fan all his life.
