These people never championed freedom and tolerance. The word "liberal" as applied to them is an Orwellian paradox, like "Love is hate," "Freedom is slavery," "War is peace."

They preach tolerance but practice intolerance, preach love but practice hate, preach diversity but demand conformity. Thet sort of thing.

Actually, I believe that the origin of the name “Liberal” is from Ancient Greece and the Greek Democracies.

The “Liberals” were the Free People. They studied the “Liberal Arts”, the writings of thinkers, and music and such. The rest of the people were Slaves. They studied the “Industral Arts” and kept the toilets working.

Only the “Liberals” could vote.
