Could Trump flip Virginia to red in November?
It’s certainly possible. Virginia has gone red in other elections and since the Democrats control there at the beginning of this year, they have overplayed their had on a number of issues, particularly gun control.
Conservatives who live there are fired up, and many people who used to vote Democrat will be voting for Trump.
He held a massive campaign event there on Friday night.
President Trump took his stump speech into a key “purple” state Friday, telling Virginians their Gov. Ralph Northam represents the kind of governance they’ll get on a national scale if they vote for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in November.
“Only by voting for me can you save your country and can you save your Second Amendment,” Trump declared while speaking outside a hangar at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.
The president also argued that by backing Northam, a physician who supports late-term abortion, Biden had backed the governor’s opposition to life-saving medical care for infants born alive after abortions — as well as Northam’s pro-gun control agenda. Although Biden campaigned with Northam in 2017, he later called for the governor’s resignation in response to photos that allegedly showed Northam in blackface.
Yes, ever since the days of John Warner. The state GOP has been secretly backing marginal screwball libertarian candidates who drain votes from conservatives. If not for this treachery, Oliver North would have been a Senator.

Right up to election day VAGOP ‘refused’ to completely back Cuch and believe it was him on air day before saying the VaGOP was ignoring the Libertarian candidate, WHO the local Libertarians was saying the guy was ‘NFG’ but was backed and promoted by Texas money.
I have been in favor of not being able to donate to a candidate that doesn’t figure in ‘governing’ you if they win.
No reason the position of ‘dog catcher’ in ‘Xray County MI’ should be being backed by those in TX or MO etc etc.

I think the 2A is on Virginia’s mind ... even in Fairfax and Loudoun.
It isn’t a matter of being a troll, it’s a matter of familiarity with the area. Northern VA is chockful of wealthy, leftwing government beaurocrats and teat-suckers as well as massive numbers of immigrants. Walk thru some retail stores there and you can count on one hand how many people speak English. I hope like hell the lower counties come out and the lefties figure it’s in the bag and stay home, but experience doesn’t prove that out. Pessimistic or realistic? Too much false hope isn’t healthy, either.

Yes, Virginaia is about 20% black now and when they voted 93% for Hillary it gives them 18 to 2 lead in the race to 50%, that’s why Trumps out reach to African Americans and Hispanics is so important. People focus on white liberal and they are really just riding the votes of Blacks and Hispanics
Because it keeps Dems putting money there (where they wouldn’t if Trump was holding huge rallies there) and reduces money in other places like PA, WI, MI. Also his running well in MN, NV and NH does the same.
Is there any estimate of the numbers of the Newport News crowd?I don't know about attendance but RSBN, the youtube channel that covers every (and only) Trump events said they had a record 119,000 viewers.

I tend to agree with you. Some of these just don’t even talk like conservatives. There is no doubt that there are3 those who either are paid, or leftist partisans, who seek to discourage the Trump base! But I don’t think that will work. I believe that MN is in play for sure. We will win NH. As for VA, it may be hard, but don’t underestimate Trump and his instincts. They are usually correct!

It was a great rally but Virginia, like Illinois or New York, is a blue state not a purple state, due to the large, leftist population near a large city (i.e. D.C.). I doubt it will go for Trump. He just needs PA, MI, and WI again.

biden’s numbers in northern virginia are not going to be as good as hillary’s numbers.
...but the communist voter fraud will be MUCH greater than HELLary’s numbers.
