A 4 hour debate starting at 9 PM? What’s the Vegas line on Joe Hiden falling asleep before it’s over?

He has to tone down mocking Joe. Those that like him for his style are on his side. He need to appear presidential

The debate, if it happens, will be 90 minutes.

Senate Republicans revealed in their report on the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine: Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest business woman in Russia and the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow

Baturina is referenced in the 87-page report, which was released Wednesday, addressing her payment to Biden’s investment firm in early 2014.

BACKSTORY Limassol, Cyprus is a major hub for businesses and heads of countries to have offices to avoid taxes, make bribes, and launder money.
..........
From 2014 to 2016 Yelena negotiated the purchase of coastal property in Limassol and in November, 2016, Yelena Baturina (Nikolaevna), started the $100 million project to develop a high-end residential project there. Many wealthy Russians live in Limassol and have invested there in order to get Cypriot Golden Visas, essentially Cypriot citizenship. Her daughter was given Cypriot citizenship, Yelena likely has one too.
........
On Feb. 14, 2014, Baturina wired $3.5 million to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC bank account for a “Consultancy Agreement”.
.........
Burisma Holdings is headquartered in Limassol. Between April 2014 and October 2015, more than $3 million was paid out by Burisma to an account linked to Biden’s and Devon Archer’s Rosemont Seneca firm.
...........
US Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Cyprus, May 21, 2014 for two days.
.........
Between May 6, 2015 and Dec. 8, 2015, Baturina sent 9 wires in the amount of $241,797.14 to Rosemont Seneca, called a “loan agreement”.

Chris Wallace is going to pull out all the stops to try and prevent that. I mean ALL the stops.

Judging by the way he consistently reacts to criticism, one certainly has warrant to say that he reacts out of ego.

Neither one of us is a psychiatrist so we can equally assume that he is simply calculating that all attacks must be rebuffed without mercy and he is therefore not acting out of ego.

For the purposes of the debate and for the purposes of appearing presidential to undecideds, it does not matter whether he is actually acting out of ego, it matters whether he is perceived to be doing so. My observations are simply that he should avoid the perception if there is no reality behind it.

There will be lies laid out accusing Trump. It is hard to win a he said she said debate and it makes you look bad. President Trump should prep for that. Second he handled the set up very well on the town hall with Stephanopoulos, keep that style.

His objective for the debates should be to drive his likeability up even further while displaying to the public he is a war time president currently in battle fighting for the American dream.

I would like for him to get under Bidens skin to demonstrate what a nasty guy he is. Those zingers that will work need to be prepared for ahead of time. On which ones will work and which ones will be seen negatively by the public.

Making Biden remember and recount things he is not prepared for before hand would be helpful

Youare exactly correct. Wallace will not be on Trump ‘s side, nor will he be a neutral moderator. He will attack Trump with gotcha questions and will ask Biden questions like .... what do you think of the evil thing that Trump did. Wallace is a never Trumper.

A true moderator would give each candidate the same time to state his position on a certain topic and then let each person ask the other one a question about it with time to respond. I do not understand why these so-called moderators can ask different questions of the different candidates.

We care about how they are going to be President of the United States, what they plan to do for the country, and how they have done things before that make them capable of and likely to do what they plan.

So he needs to be fake. A typical politician?

No. What needs to happen is, people need to stop telling Trump how to be Trump.

Wallace has already had a sit down interview with Trump. While a liberal at heart, he still can ask some tough questions. Biden hasn’t been subjected to any tough questions. I look for Wallace not to throw softballs. He won’t rip into Biden, but I don’t think Biden will get the fawning treatment he’s used to.

Trump has to be Presidential. This is not a rally. He needs to win over independents and squishy Democrats who are looking for a reason to vote for Trump. If he appears unhinged, he’ll lose.If he has the discipline like he showed during the ABC Townhall, he’ll prevail.

Trump is a master showman and loves playing that part to the base, but he didn’t get the Middle East peace deal, the sit-down with Kim or NATO funding increased by being the “showman” we know and love. He was the tough negotiator we rarely see in public.

I still think Pelosi knows something that we don’t. She has been giving cover to Biden saying he shouldn’t debate Trump. Why? Look for a last minute excuse for Joe to pull out. The race is tightening and if Joe falters, it could not only impact the top of the ticket but the down ticket as well.

I do hope you’re right about Chris Wallace.

And your point about Trump adapting to the situation is an excellent one. I was just thinking something similar last night while watching the rally in Virginia. The Trump at the rallies is not a statesman, he’s America’s (and his own) cheerleader. The Trump who deals with the press is another Trump. The Trump who negotiates treaties and meets with world leaders and delivers the State of the Union address is a far more serious and thoughtful person.

All of them are the real Trump.

“The sleepy Joe who destroyed the rino Paul ryan in 2012 is gone and replaced by a senile demented old shell..”

Joe Biden never “destroyed“ Paul Ryan in that 2012 debate.

Go back and watch it on YouTube. I have.

Ryan held his own in both form and substance. Everything Biden said was a lie, and Ryan did a great job of calling him on it and calling out Obama on his apology tour foreign policy, Ben Ghazi, etc..

There was nothing wimpy about Ryan’s performance.

The only thing Biden did that was noteworthy was make faces - sneering and grinning like a fool, rolling his eyes and using inappropriate sarcasm that made no sense. Then he would go on these boasting rants “I’m the guy who single handedly blah blah blah... Barack and I blah blah blah .. C’mon man! Tough guy! I was n the room with the... with the thing you know! C’mom tough guy!”

Pretty much the same as now but he looked a lot younger.

I suppose he thought he was acting tough and being the alpha male - and of course the press used his obnoxious behavior to suggest that he “dominated” Ryan - but he didn’t.

It was like when Gore walked over into Bush’s space while Bush was talking and tried to act menacing - the press tried to spin it into some sort of alpha male “show of strength” - but in reality, he was just being a giant asshole.

Same with Biden.

Look, I agree that Ryan turned out to be a horrible RINO, and a sell out - but to be fair - he won that debate against Joe Biden.

The problem then and now is that no matter who really wins - the fake news reports that the Democrat won.. hopefully, enough people will be watching to see for themselves who really won.

If Biden even shows up, that is..
