Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody reportedly sent a letter to the FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement requesting a criminal investigation into a recent report that failed Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire, has raised more than $16 million to help convicted felons pay off their debts in an attempt to boost Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden in the state.

“The letter said that Moody’s office had reviewed Bloomberg’s pledge and referred the matter to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI for a criminal investigation,” CBS 12 reported. “Moody’s letter references Florida’s statute against paying for votes, referencing a Florida Department of State finding that said ‘even an otherwise innocuous offering of an incentive simply to vote can run afoul’ of state election law.”

It is a violation of federal law, not state.

The article clearly states it’s a Florida election law.

The relevant code is 18 U.S. Code § 597.Expenditures to influence voting. Florida may have their laws regarding election bribary as well. But dispite the article's assertion, the FBI primarily investigates US code violations.

How is that relevant? How is Bloomberg going to make sure that they vote for Biden/Democrats? He may well want it, but there’s no established quid pro quo in place.

Trump & Barr should ORDER this done!

It’ s time to really out the banner down on all these shitheads doing whatever they damn well please .
Especially this little prick Bloomberg
It’s time to separate this creep from his money . Or how about a nice long boat ride in the Florida Keys? I hear the tarpon fishing is great down there, this time of year.

The FBI will just refuse to investigate just like they refuse to take action against Antifa.

Yes, and the FBI stinks to high heaven. Do agents wear differently colored ear buds to tell us “who is pro-truth at all costs” vs “Ah, if we can keep it all out of control, perhaps the Dims will win and we will makes lots more money killing off the stupid Right wing groups?”

I wonder what would happen to me or the likes of me if we took the Antifa matter into our own hands?

Can you establish a direct connection between Bloomberg and any ex-con who may now vote now that their fines/fees have been paid?

Again, the key is "intent." By stating clearly that his expectation is that 95% of these black voters will vote for Biden, his intent is clear. At least that's the explanation I've heard...

I'm not a lawyer, so there's that... :)

There are times when I wish FR provided the ability to "like" (or even "love") individual posts. This is one of those times.
