Lemon seemed to be unaware that a constitutional amendment to abolish the electoral college would have to be ratified by three-fourths of the states. Even if the Democrats give statehood to DC, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the Northern Marianas, Guam, American Samoa, and Wake Island, they would still fall short. Maybe make each of the Virgin Islands a separate state.
As amply demonstrated by the Left, they do not care a fig what the Constitution says.
Once they regain control of the SCOTUS, they can simply interpret a state compact, requiring states to force their electors to vote for the person who wins the most votes, to be Constitutional.
Constitutional checks and balances mean nothing to them.
