In opposition to the Republican call to reverse the Roe v. Wade decision on abortion rights, OConnor provided the vote needed to uphold the courts earlier decision.
There have been only 4 women appointed to the Supreme Court so far. The other three were Sotomayor, Kagan (appointed by Obama)and RBG (appointed by Bill Clinton) , all of them appointed by hard left Democrat presidents, precisely because they were hard core leftists.
They proceeded to do exactly what they were appointed for.
There has been only one Republican female appointed. You can't use a sample of one to jump to any generalized conclusions.
