We also introduced the world to the Lockean conception of liberty and limited government. As the world’s most powerful Empire our flaws as well as virtues were magnified, so whilst you might say that in the 19th century we were responsible, along with most contemporary Empires, of the misery of many africans who were enslaved no other power did more to suppress slavery in the 19th century after it had been a universally accepted practice for thouasands of years before.

Correct-Brits led the way to abolition at the Congress of Vienna, after Waterloo and it was on the table as an immovable issue, without which, no British participation or negotiation could be expected.

I get that... I am only saying that the Megs clown needs to back off slamming the US whose extensive catalogue of destroyed lives, forever ruined fortunes and heartbreaking death count went a LONG way to stopping slavery for good and all in the US. If she doesn’t GET that, she should STFU!
