Feinstein. Jewish. The Jews are most dems and believe in abortion.
Jewish law does not consider the fetus to be a being with a soul until it is born. It does not have personhood.
0.14 percent (101 abortions) were sought due to rape.
Meanwhile, 0.01 percent (eight abortions) of the total number were sought due to incest,
A life endangering physical condition was cited as a reason for 0.28 percent (194) of the abortions, while physical health of the mother that is not life endangering was provided as a reason for 1,034 abortions, or 1.5 percent of the total number.

the Talmud discusses ensoulment - and says that the question of when it occurs is unanswerable. so i don’t think you can generalize about Jewish thought.
From the article:
“Jewish law does not consider the fetus to be a being with a soul until it is born.”
“a midwife may insert her hand into the womb and kill the fetus [the reason is] for as long as the fetus has not emerged into the world, it is not a nefesh [a being with a soul]; one is therefore allowed to kill it and save the mother
“According to Mishna Oholos 7:3, If a woman is having trouble giving birth, they cut up the child in her womb and bring it forth limb by limb, because her life comes before the life of [the child]. “
“But critically, the new restrictive abortion laws do not allow a woman and her rabbi to reach that decision on her own.”
The article even assert that abortion laws may make chemotherapy for female cancer patients illegal, “perhaps they would argue that these treatments cannot be given, as they might cause a spontaneous abortion?”. It goes on paragraph after paragraph with one assault on the truth after another.

Heres what actual traditional Jewish legal scholars (as opposed to PC manure spreaders) have to say about abortion:

Feinstein is not Jewish. Family was originally of Jewish extraction but converted in Russia long before she was born. Her mother was a practicing Catholic.
