Oh, Goodness, now you’re posting Washington Compost to help advance the Lagoa candidacy instead of PROVEN quantities such as Britt Grant and Amy Coney Barrett. Yuk... I hope we don’t blow this nomination also by confirming an unknown but very possible squish candidate.
This is a lifetime appointment. It’s dangerous to base this type of decision on news cycle politics.
Lagoa seems to have all the wrong allies while Barrett has all the right enemies. That is very telling there. I don’t really have a horse in this race yet, though. I’m hoping some other candidates emerge.

If he chooses a justice because they can help in Florida rather than because they are the best most reliable person to be an originalist I will be very disappointed.

Lagoa looks to be a politically connected climber with a very thin resume. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have already disappointed us with MUCH stronger conservative resumes than Lagoa. A real roll of the dice on her, IMO.
