Great article. Thanks for posting.
Just do it.
if the republicans don’t confirm a constitutionalist to that seat now then why the hell do I vote for them?
Scumbags like Mittens Romney are about equal with the Democrats in trying to marginalize our President. They will block.
“Amy Coney Barrett or Barbara Lagoa would sail through a quick confirmation “
Lagoa would be easier; let’s go with her. People of Cuban heritage “get” communism and they hate it. I would prefer NOT a Catholic to make SCOTUS fair and balanced, but it is what it is.
What is the best way to Melos the Democrats?
The GOP likes to sit and watch as civil rights violations and covid19 genocide of the elderly, Cherokee smallpox blanket style, happens right in front of them in NY and Pensylvania nursing homes.
Meanwhile democrats always take the feminine initiative on civil rights ...
The GOP will lose votes if they do not confirm Trump’s nominee.
I voted for Trump for two reasons. National security and the SC. ISIS is pretty much gone and the border wall is going up.
He has already appointed some to the SC and this is just more of what I voted for. There is no reason not to appoint another to the court.
Let’s call the GOP a racehorse that lets others go first.
Excellent...
Since Barrett and Lagoa have gone through the process for the Federal bench, Mitch should only allow two hours of examination by the Judiciary Committee...half a day, get it done...no GD circus, no witnesses...
Keep it simple and don’t bow to the outrageous demands of the Left...”we will need 6 weeks to read all of the appellate opinions”...
Chuckie knows how to muck ups the works through parliamentary procedures...Mitch better be ready to blunt the delay tactics...
Love me some Kurt.

But it's time to gird for battle. The American Republic is on the line here.
Nice, one-line encapsulation of the real Republican Party platform - 1989 to present.
Trump has more committed enemies on our side, it seems.
Inconsistency? How about hypocrisy?
The Constitution places the power to fill SCOTUS vacancies with the elected senate. If the left feels that the Constitution should be ignored, and that late-term SCOTUS vacancies should be saved and filled by a future senate, then why didn’t they feel the same way in 2016?

Exactly right. This is the hill for the GOP to stand on or die on. Give no more ground.
