I do.
We were taught it in high school.
Then, it was called "Western Civilization."
Humanities?
I had a thought just as I responded “Humanities” to your post.
I EARNED my privileges! Had not a damn thing to do with any accident of birth!
I learned the value of hard work and good citizenship - my role models did not drink, do dope, get girls pregnant and they worked hard, spoke correct English and did well in school!
So, I worked my way through college (my dad died when I was a Sophomore), joined the Navy and became a Naval Aviator.
I later EARNED a Master of Business Administration Degree - it sureasHell was not GIVEN to me!
I worked hard for my “privileges!” I did not do anything that any other kid could have done or could do today if they kept their nose clean, studied in school and made a genuine effort to become a productive member of society!
SCREW THE PEOPLE WHO ACCUSE ME OF HAVING WHITE PRIVILEGE MERELY BECAUSE I AM WHITE!
I HAVE AMERICAN PRIVILEGE!
Where else but America can the son of parents raised on poor Georgia dirt farms rise to be a Captain in the US Naval Reserve?
EVERY kid in America has American Privilege!
EVERY kid in America can become a productive member of this society!
All they have to do is learn to read, learn to speak English properly, work hard, stay out of jail, get a good education, wait to have kids until after they are married and have a burning desire to be a productive American!
Piece of Cake!
