Lady Gaga says every American from birth drinks "the poison that is white supremacy."
The "Rain on Me" singer talked about systemic racism and celebrity activism in an interview with Billboard for its latest issue, released Thursday.
"I am in the process of learning and unlearning things I’ve been taught my whole life," the 34-year-old entertainer, who was born Stefani Germanotta, told the magazine.
“When you’re born in this country, we all drink the poison that is white supremacy,” the New York native said. "Social justice is not just a literacy, it’s a lifestyle."
“What do I think about [posting] a black square? I think everybody has a different feeling about a black square," Gaga said, referring to the digital initiative called Blackout Tuesday that aimed to amplify Black voices.
"Do I think there’s such a thing as performative activism? Yes. Do I think there’s been true activism that’s been very important and needed? Yes. Do I believe Black lives matter? Yes," the performer continued. "Do I believe this is going to get louder? Yes. Do I believe it should? Yes.”

Some lady I work with said to me “We” because we are white have white privilege, and I said “how is that? I wasn’t born into a privilege family and was never given anything without working for it”

Well if a black man walks down the street at night he will be profiled and followed by cops but we as white females don’t have to go through that.
So...because I behave myself, make good choices, and don’t belong to an ethnic group that commits an extremely disproportionate amount of crime that gets me profiled, that is white privilege??? Being responsible, and making good choices and fighting every base level bad impulse, and working for the long game and not instead gratification, is considered white privilege. I see.
Lady Gaga need to buy a hair shirt... then flog herself every morning.
Or she could just shut up... the rest of us are NOT impressed with this crap.

I just posted this people want to shame whites for doing the right things in life as if they just got a job or success or kept their marriage together and raised decent kids because of some magical white privilege or whatever. These loons on the left will never come to terms with the fact blacks in this country are their OWN worst enemy and need to own up to their failures and bad behavior.
Another reason that most of the music I listen to now is from foreign artists.

I had no idea who this chick was until my daughter told me about her. My daughter calls her Lady Gag Gag.
If by some misfortune she needs life saving surgery, I am sure she is going to say that she wants any random non white person who graduated at the bottom of the class, or who got a medical degree from a school in Grenada.
