I meant to include you on Post #20.

The old Trans Arabic Pipeline (Tapline) from the oil fields in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern province, to Israel’s Golan Heights, could be refurbished relatively quickly, to get around Iran’s threat to block the Straights of Hormuz. Israel would need a 50-100 mile extension to bring it to Port, depending where.

Israel, already becoming a significant natural gas player with the Leviathan offshore fields, could gain a key role in the flow of oil to Europe as well.

It would be a strategic advantage to the Saudis to diversify, and a significant cost savings on shipping costs.
