Good Morning! Just curious if anyone knows of any companies that are participating in the payroll holiday? The company I work for is not participating.

That’s all I could find also - where did the idea come from that it involved ALL employees on a payroll?
Trump. But it isn’t feasible. All you are doing is postponing a big tax burden. It sounded like a gimmick that a billionaire would think up. We are getting complaints from employees because we didn’t do it but they shut up when we explain they’ll have to write a check to the IRS later. That “tax return” (refund) is their savings account.
My company is not participating. Will not name them, but they are Fortune 500.

So they over withhold and let the government have the use of their money (interest free) until tax return time. Bad idea...
It’s epidemic. My sister even had additional withholding in order to get a better check. Then ObamaCare happened and she got robbed (no insurance)

I got a letter from the IRS yesterday.
They are fining me about $4,000 for not paying my 941 for 4th qtr of 2019. The fine is approximately $1000 of the $4,000.
Thing is, I paid it, I know I did.
Then I read the letter closer, it’s 3 pages of information. The top page was separate... and here is what it said.
Since this letter was written, information has changed and it appears we received the $3,000.
But get this... they still demand that I pay them $4,000 within 10 days.
But they did give me a toll free number to call....
Sorry. Deferred means delayed.
It is political. If we win the House, Senate and Executive, then there can be discussion about forgiving the tax liability. If we do not win House and Senate, they can punish Trump (try to make him look bad) by not forgiving the debt.
The whole outcome depends upon the election.
Trump said the amounts will later be forgiven.
I’m always amazed that 4 years later people still think they are smarter than Trump, for goodness sake, did you pay NO attention to how and what he’s done just this year?
No doubt President Trump is smarter than me...But I also cannot ignore that most politicians are out to destroy him and sabotage his good work.
