There is no way back for the NFL.
Fans need a new league.

America survived quite well before national sports.
Time to move on.
If that team (the team, not just the owners) told "Woke" players they could either salute the flag or hit the road, I would watch and support that team no matter how bad they are.
But until that point, no NFL.
Adults should grow up and not waste a day, or more, to 25 year old fast Black people.
Train for a sport yourself, read, hike, volunteer, spend time with family, etc...
Football has always been a metaphor for war, a practice ground for war, where young men train themselves for battle. When our town goes up against your town, people are going to get hurt. Football is a sub-lethal substitute for the warrior instinct.
But, that’s not very darned woke. In a perfect world, 300-pound men colliding at 25 miles per hour would rebound elastically without mussing their hair or dislodging an NFL logo from its proper place on their uniform. Regrettably, the laws of physics are not up to the standards of the NFL, so reality must be set aside in favor of noble ideals.
The thing that amazes me is how easily I have set aside the NFL. I’ve been reading commenters who say they gnashed their teeth and broke out in a sweat over the effort to not peek at a game just for a second. Not me.
