Sources: Trump Nominees for Afghanistan and Germany Ambassadors ’Not Confirmable’ (Col. Macgregor)

The Trump administration's ambassadorial nominees to Afghanistan and Germany will not be approved by Senate Republicans, according to three congressional aides who cite the nominees’ isolationist and anti-Israel views.

The senior Republican congressional aides said that the nomination of retired U.S Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor is almost certain to fail if it comes to a vote in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The nomination of William Ruger, a U.S. Navy reserve officer and key figure in Charles Koch's philanthropic empire, to be ambassador to Afghanistan, is unlikely to get a vote from the committee before the November election.

The Fox News host Tucker Carlson is linked to both nominees: Macgregor has been a frequent guest on Carlson’s show, arguing that there is no evidence Iran "wants to attack" the United States and that neoconservatives have manipulated America’s foreign policy to benefit Israel.

This is very sad but predictable. Here's what I posted a few weeks ago:-

Col. Macgregor is against the military industrial complex and endless wars.

Sadly I predict he will not get confirmed if the Dems are against it because someone like Romney and other minions of the military industry complex will not vote for him.

I hope I'm wrong. He is an outstanding individual.

Luckily, Trump bypasses the Deep State Department and conducts foreign affairs through Pompeo, Kushner, and himself personally.

The State Department might as well not exist in a Trump administration.

Yeah but I feel bad for Col. Macgregor who is being denied a prestigious post and one that he is very much qualified for all because he does not support endless wars in the ME

This may not be a good thing considering Bible prophecy and what happens to nations who want to divide Israel; however such actions by the US could be part of the end-times scenario leading to the end Click on "Making Sense of All This"

Yes, it would be nice if the Donald could fumigate the Deep State Department by fiat, but it requires deep state approval. And they ain't gonna give up one of their most important possessions without a fight.

Can’t he name anyone he likes as interim or acting with no confirmation?

Seems he can place whoever he wants anywhere he wants using this method and congress be damned.

He doesn’t.

Bear in mind the outlet is Free Beacon who hate anyone who is against forever wars and smears them as anti-Israel.

I don’t like posting them but its the only place with the info that they wouldn’t get confirmed...

Hope Tucker covers this.

You can support Israel but be against endless wars.

President Trump sets an excellent example (IMO).

Isolationist means not globalist, the same way that nationalist means not a commiescum.

So, that’s a plus imo.

And he’s not fawning over Israel? Well hell. The job is to represent the US in Afghanistan. Wth does Israel have to do with it?

All Uniparty GOPers should rounded up. Globalism demands the economic ruin of the US in favor of other peoples and the end of our national sovereignty.

Smells awful treason to me.

In part I agree with the Col. Macgregor

The reality is the good Col. is a bomb thrower, and always has been, no indictment good or bad.

IMHO he is a bomb thrower.
