FOX News came out with its poll results again this Sunday. This poll consistently is skewed towards the Democrats. Today we explain why this is and offer estimates when eliminating this polling bias. (Hint – Trump is way ahead!) FOX News came out this morning with the results of its poll where they again show former Obama Vice President Biden ahead of President Trump in the polls – 51%-46%. This is in spite of no excitement for candidate Biden who is taking questions using a teleprompter and can’t seem to get out of his basement. Etc.

...California’s overwhelming popular vote...

Has anyone shown what effect the fires will have on the popular vote in CA, OR. WA, NV?

Have to wonder at the prog bubble, though. Just got a grandbaby birth announcement from known progs where parents & child are in Portland and not a whisper of convern,

A Trump landslide is coming. Fox ought to be embarrassed by their bogus polls.

I heard similar things being said in 2008 "The polls are garbage, McCain will win PA, OH, FL," etc.

Sounds very much like the embarrassing episode of "Un-skew the polls" from 2012, when people repeatedly "re-sampled" polls to try and show Romney leading.

Thank you for the question. I believe in the aggregate directionality of the polls, but I am not putting all my faith in a single poll. However, the ensemble of polls can paint a meaningful picture, and that is what I am following. I believe the polls are directionally accurate, and if the election were held today, Biden would win.

I would refer you to the polls right up to election night 2016, according to your thinking the HILDABEAST should have won hands down.

Her lead was smaller than Biden’s, letting Trump squeeze out an EV win despite losing the PV. If Trump loses the PV by 8 points, there is no way for him to win the EV. The polls (if correct), are showing him losing by nearly 8 points to Biden.

While I think Trump will win based on voter enthusiasm,
the polls are possible (probably overstate Biden by +2 so we are ok) because there is a sizable group , that want freebies from the govt and they block vote.
More specifically, it is the increasing demographic or ethnic block voting for Dems-that is their base (its over half their vote at 27 points of their 51 points and that is the challenge for GOP.

Without the block voting of African American’s (93% + for Dems+ and especially Hispanic Americans-approaching 72%,) CA would still be a red state that elected Reagan governor and nationally the Dems would have a little over 100 seats and about 10-12 Senate seats.

At Least Hispanics don’t vote 90% dems. In CA, the Hispanic Population is now about 42% (and yes fueled by illegal immigrants and higher birth rate )and African American 12%.

this block voting or demographic shift is what is going on in early stages in Nevada, Az, ad now Fl and Texas. Colorado is now over 20% Hispanic and now a dem state, Nevada over 29% and voting solidly blue.

Just look at the states won by Trump,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%.

Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%.

so Trump was wise to push for the Black and Hispanic vote

“At Least Hispanics don’t vote 90% dems.”

Well, sure - everyone knows that the blacks all think the same, and the Hispanics have a great diversity of thought and interests. Com’n man - if you don’t vote dem, you ain’t black! Are you on crack!!??
