“Looks like civil war 2 to me.” You going to fight the army?

All along the question I had was which wide will the rank and file police and military fight on? In Cuba,Venezuela, the old Russia and China, this was always the question that mattered.

One FReeper replied to me: "People in uniform follow their officers' orders."

Is that the last word?

2021: Our search of your background reveals you ae a registered Republican. It has come to our attention you are trying to enroll your children in a Christian school where systemic racism is not being re-educated out of the masses. As such an irresponsible parent we are hereby confiscating your guns and sending you to a work camp. You will then be given the opportunity for public shaming and confession. Your children will receive the proper public school education.

“Is that the last word?“

If the troops get orders “go overthrow the government”, then, of course, they won’t follow their officers.

But that’s not how it will go down. A confusing and chaotic situation, with bullets flying, all comms down, inability to contact higher authority?

Then, yes, they will follow their immediate superiors.
