President Trump’s head popped up during his top-secret intelligence briefing in the Oval Office on Jan. 28 when the discussion turned to the coronavirus outbreak in China.
“This will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency,” national security adviser Robert C. O’Brien told Trump, according to a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward. “This is going to be the roughest thing you face.”
Matthew Pottinger, the deputy national security adviser, agreed. He told the president that after reaching contacts in China, it was evident that the world faced a health emergency on par with the flu pandemic of 1918, which killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide.
Ten days later, Trump called Woodward and revealed that he thought the situation was far more dire than what he had been saying publicly.
“You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed,” Trump said in a Feb. 7 call. “And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flu.”
“This is deadly stuff,” the president repeated for emphasis.

The lockdowns should have been stopped! Herd immunity is the way to go. We could absorb the casualties.
He didnt mislead anyone..he did NOT want to create a panic..I do NOT want a President going on TV screaming “WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE” that is NOT a leader..He did the right thing

If Trump had started a mass panic the same media would have screamed “What kind of president is he, causing a mass panic, he is costing us lives”

I would say Trump’s medical officials have told him more and variec stories of this virus than the media have tried to feed the sheeple. He was getting a different story every day. Don’t wear the mask, wear the mask, you can breathe it, it lives on surfaces for a long time, go ahead and take a chance if you want a Tinder date. Woodward is a gossip like the rest of the Fake media.
Trump was sent by God and is His most important emissary at this point in history. What Trump says and does has a divine character. We don’t always understand what God’s up to, But I trust Trump because I trust The Almighty.
At the same time wasn’t Dr. Tony telling us to go ahead and book that cruise?
In the beginning even the WHO were mystified with this virus...they did not know how to grade this virus or the extent of danger it provided! Trump should get a pass on this one because everybody was clueless everybody including doctors and scientists! Sounds like Trump was not lying but tried to bring calmness to the highly explosive situation..that’s what presidents do...it sounds to me like he was truly worried about the nation... I called that compassion! That’s what a president does release stress and panic along with compassion! He did good!!
It's the same crap the media started on 9/11, questioning why, after Andy Card whispered in George W. Bush's ear about the WTC, he didn't jump up and start screaming that we were under attack.
