Good question. I guess you’d have to pull the old parallel universes trick. At the very beginning of the movie: “Imagine another time, in another universe, where Generals Eisenhower, Bradley, and Patton were all black men.” (Or maybe even Asian women.)
Then off you go!

The Brits seem to have that under control. Example from Merlin: King Arthur is white and Queen Guinevere isn’t. I don’t mind watching racially diverse content, but when it’s historical or historic legend, then no, I want things to have some authenticity or I just don’t bother watching; there’s lots of other stuff available.
