Back in the old Morse code radio operator days if you sent a comma slowed down to a crawl “DAH-DAH DIT DIT DAH-DAAAAAH” you had basically just called the code OP on the other end of the circuit a degrading term of shame, a “LID”, an unqualified OP, a punk, a noob, a pain. Highly Insulting.
That’s what I remember a LID as being. In hot-shot Morse Code operator jargon.
I don’t think that there was an acronym attached.
