Well I don’t think he sucked. He did have many successes but he was very unethical in his business practices.

A real inventive\industrial hero people hardly anybody talks about is George Westinghouse.

Typo

Substitute “ people hardly talk “ for “ people hardly anybody talk “!

He was a great businessman that used dirty tactics to steal and perfect others ideas.

He fought Tesla on electric the power grid and Tesla won, we still use AC to this day. hell the power plant designed by Tesla at Niagara falls is still in operation today.
Edison took to electrocuting elephants in public to discredit Tesla, the guy was a jerk.

Yes— the man who employed Nicola Tesla, whom Edison got rid of. Yes, Edison was not terribly ethical. Methodical, dogged and ran a science sweat shop-— but not ethical. Tesla was a true genius. Edison went so far as to push Direct Current for electrical grid, and demonstrated how dangerous Alternating Current (Westinghouse’s grid) was by filming an electrocution execution. Yes... he did that.

If we had DC as electricity there would be a tranformer about every 4-500 feet (everywhere). Mark Twain was a close friend of Nicola Tesla— he recognized genius.
