This might be the California version of a "Romeo and Juliet" exception where older teenagers who consensually engage in sexual activity are not held to the same standard as child predators (teachers, coaches, parents, aunts, uncles). I assume age of consent is still 18 in California. In many states it's 16.

No I get that. Just wondering why vaginal intercourse is not included. The one activity gays don’t participate in. And I hear you on sex between consenting teenagers. But with your two examples, the youngster could be as young as 8 or 6. And I would call that predatory.
