A federal appeals court on Tuesday temporarily blocked the Manhattan district attorney from getting access to President Donald Trump's tax returns.
A three-judge panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York put a hold on a lower court ruling, which said District Attorney Cyrus Vance could get the records immediately. The appeals court granted the stay so it can consider Trump's argument that a subpoena for the documents is overbroad and was issued in bad faith.

Hopefully we won’t get an October Surprise
Anyone wants to write on my briefs will pay for it.
Maybe a delay tactic so his returns are released closer to the elections?
This is why they’re starting the “mini-strokes” narrative.
That’s all they have.
This man's personal and financial records have been audited up the wazoo for years. What do they expect to find from his world class accountants? He deducted something like the Clintons deducting donated underwear?

But Trump is a Republican so laws don’t matter.
Send me photo of you
Maybe worth it

Class Envy most likely.
Yup, you never know.
Trump has been known to secretly donate to charities and causes. Perhaps he will be compelled to release them right before the election and they will show astronomical donations to a variety of causes
Trust me. NOT worth it. :-)
These folks are frinkn morons. The U.S. Government has been in possession of Trumps taxes every year, it’s called the IRS and if if Trump had broken the law or usurped tax code, don’t you think it would have been leaked by now?
Trump should just release his tax returns and show the leftist claims about Russian money laundering as the nothingburger that they are.
The earliest they’d be released is next spring. The COA won’t issue a decision until after the election. If Trump loses, he can request an en banc rehearing. If he loses that, he has either 30 or 90 days to ask the Supreme Court to take the case. If the Supreme Court refuses, he can file a motion to reconsider.
If Trump were to lose all these hearings, there are a million and one ways to stall.
Could always jumble up the paper files and hand them to let the prosecutor to put them back together.
