I question whether people in California have sat down, closed the drapes, poured a cup of coffee, (or whatever), and honestly analyzed how they have voted for the last thirty years. It is not just Governors, Reps, and Senators.
What about State Reps/Senators? School boards? Town councils? County Commissioners? Who are the people that control the minor aspects of your life? Maybe was not important then, but after thirty years, it does add up.
I have not set foot in California since I left for WestPac Ground Forces in 67, and I dont regret it. Wonder how many people in Ca feel that they let the Golden Goose get away, now they dont even have chicken wings.
They will likely just double-down.
We see it here on our side as well. There are still people here on Free Republic for example who feel that Cruz should have won the 2016 nomination and that Trump is not a conservative.
It's human nature to never want to admit you were wrong.
