Happy to have them in E.Tenn. As long as they convert to the local... culture
As conservatives, we should be proud that we fully accept immigrants, foreign and domestic, as long at they assimilate and don’t bring their sh**hole customs and politics with them.
I am behind enemy lines up here, I would hope that if the opportunity ever comes to escape, I would be welcomed somewhere by my conservative brethren.
It’s nice to hear your response. I’m about to retire and have been planning to move to TN or KY for the last 5 years (probably eastern side).
Took a trip earlier this summer looking for a new place to call home. Didn’t really make a conclusion city-wise, but definitely felt at home in the region.
This migration is a bit disheartening for me as I watch home prices and turnover. Looks like we are heading towards a very competitive market with a modest budget.
We took a good look at Johnson City, Bristol, and basically along the interstate parallel to the Smokeys. Probably didn’t look at east KY enough, but loved the rolling countryside. We might take another look this fall and move in the spring. My preference runs to smaller towns, the wife wants some shopping. If you have any recommendations for a couple of artsy (in retirement) conservatives, I’d love to hear. Fregards
It's down to East Tennessee or North Idaho for this yankee once I am able to shed the proverbial 'golden handcuffs' here in NJ. I haven't been to East Tennessee since 2018, but I have already converted to the local culture. My wife and I absolutely love it there and can't wait to go back (possibly permanently).
If my NYC employer decides to make my job a remote function on a permanent basis (working from home since February), then there is no longer a need to be here in the NYC metro area. Others apparently have come to that same conclusion.
