A man who addressed the “Justice for Jacob” rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Saturday declared: “If you kill one of ours, it’s time for us to kill one of yours.”
Most of the speakers talked about justice peacefully. But near the end of the rally, one man introduced as “our president” strayed from the message by saying, “If you kill one of us, it’s time for us to kill one of yours.”
The man, who was not able to be immediately identified, said:
“I love being black. I love black people. I know some of you may not want to say that … You tell us how to behave when you have taken our lives. The black man is worth something. His life is worth something. I have to say god damn it – if you kill one of us, it’s time for us to kill one of yours. I know everybody don’t want to hear that. But damn why are we the ones who have to keep burying ours and got to keep clean for you to see us as being human? We ain’t never did nothing to nobody.”
Earlier speakers were more focused on social justice and not physical revenge.
Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes spoke earlier and had a positive message, “I see resilience. I see hope and strength.”

In fact, there are less than a hand full of unarmed Blacks shot by police every year - literally.
About nine in total.
it’s a fact that the vast majority of “unarmed individuals” of all races and colors who are shot by the police are violent criminals who simply did not have the foresight to go out armed on that particular day.
Many were shot while in the process of being arrested on outstanding warrants.

In the same way, capital punishment discourages murder. Revenge has a strong evolutionary basis. Knowing that attacks may be avenged, discourages attacks.
Revenge has a strong and beneficial moral purpose.
However, revenge is most useful when it is directed at the perpetrator, not blindly applied to a group. Hitler initiated terror bombing of British cities in order to convince the British to end the war against the Nazis. When the RAF got the upper hand, they responded with area bombing of German cities. The Germans responded with terror weapons, the V-1 and V-2 (German, Vergeldung: reprisal), which are militarily worse than worthless, but killed thousands of British civilians. In the end no one was laughing, but the British had the last laugh: for every ton of explosives dropped on British cities, 350 were dropped on Germany.
No sane person wants a race war. If one comes, one side is much larger in numbers, better armed and organized, and far more competent in the application of violence.
They talk it loud enough and with enough mouths they might just get that eye-for-an-eye. It is not a winning hand in the game.

The V-2 killed more people in its design, manufacture, and deployment than it killed in operation against German enemies; it also drained the Reich of resources and talent. The V-1, on the other hand, was amazingly cheap to build.
