On Friday night, radical Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists held a Black National Convention, which aimed to “reach and engage four million Black voters across the US, build infrastructure of Black political engagement that transcends the 2020 election season, and create and ratify a policy platform for the first 100 days of the next administration.”
Tens of thousands participated Friday in the virtual 2020 Black National Convention (BNC) hosted by the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL), a coalition that includes dozens of radical organizations including Black Lives Matter (BLM).
The live stream was the first national political convention for black Americans in nearly 50 years and was intended to create “a vision for Black Lives before the biggest election of our time, and long after,” according to M4BL’s website.
Friday’s broadcast included policy proposals on issues such as voter suppression, reproductive rights, housing insecurity, public education inequality, and inter-communal violence, according to its agenda which was shared exclusively with the Associated Press.
Organized by the radical defund-the-police-promoting Electoral Justice Project (EJP), a project of M4BL that focuses on electoral strategy, the 2020 BNC focused on organizing black political power through the political process in order to ensure community demands are met.
“The uprising in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and countless other murders from police and vigilante violence along with the alarming Black death rate due to COVID-19 has exposed what we can no longer hide—America does not value Black lives,” said M4BL organizer and political strategist Jessica Byrd, who leads the Electoral Justice Project (EJP). “But we also know that rising up and taking action is how Black communities have secured our rights and dignity throughout this nation’s divided history.”

Here she goes blithering about George floyd’s “murder”...I say it was suicide. Any way you go about it, heroin is suicide...slow, or one big hit, it’s suicide. Yes, I know it was fentaanyl, he most likely thought it was heroin.
The coroner’s report called it a heart attack. But still not murder, it also specifically said no trauma to the neck area, where the cop’s knee supposedly “murdered” saint floyd.

Why should anybody else value black lives when blacks themselves don’t?
Look at the murder rate in Chicago. Including nuerous youngsters under 16, all killed by blacks, usually gang members, and their black mayor does nothing.
Scroll up a couple of threads and take a look at Kenosha. That article says the hardest hit area was the “heart of the black community”.
Martin Luther King said in 1960 or 61:

Today blacks represent about 13% of the population and 60 to 70% of the arrest rate, depending on who you ask.
That tells me two things.
1) they paid no attention to Mr King at all, and
2) they don’t have one iota of respect for themselves.
So why should anyone else?

I believe that any group of similar mind that want to form a constituency for political purposes should do so. A written platform and positions of the constituency needs to be published.
They can then advocate for their platform; however, if their platform is rejected by the larger society, they do not have the right to raise the advocacy to coercion, intimidation and violence.
They do have the right to listen to the larger society, modify and compromise their platform to make it acceptable to the larger body.
I see many parallels to the current racial unrest, and a labor union strike. Take an unreasonable position, threaten then use violence to leverage you position and settle for things you do not deserve.

Well, black and African American have been used interchangeably for decades now. It can be hard to keep up with the changes.
And watch what you say. To say “colored” people will get you fired, but “people of color” is acceptable.

2. Anyone wanting to live in this new utopia who lives in the other 49 states get free one-way passage.
3. A wall/fence will be built on the California border.
4. The wall/fence along the California/Mexico border will be removed.
5. Whatever is there, you can keep. But you ain't getting any money from the US to keep yourselves going.
6. You no longer get any say-so in what happens in the other 49 states; think legal status of DC.
6. If you decide to stay in the other 49 states and you start this crap again, you'll be removed to California.

Me neither! They have long since exhausted any sympathy for their movement.
The black lives matter movement doesn’t seem outraged that our black Christian brothers are getting murdered in Nigeria. Their platform supports abortion of black babies. They are not about lives mattering. BLM and their ilk are about grabbing power. If they win, we all lose to Muslims or Communists. They will be the first to be sacrificed.
