Or how about ties to Epstein and his parties and participaation. Something absolutely unforgivable to liberals and media virtue signalers. Better to let CNN stew in it over weekend. It could also be a nothing burger.
It might be several different things and they try to defend against wrong one. They wind up shooting themselves in the foot. It might be fairly minor but in their panic to kill it CNN blows it up to major scandal that other media than Fox start talking about it. I’m going to wait and see.

Think of it this way. Suppose I told you tomorrow someone was going to commit suicide. You would spend the night trying to figure out who it was. You would likely be disappointed when the people you considered didn't commit suicide.
Now recall the shock waves that rippled through the news when it was announced Jeffery Epstein committed suicide.
It was like a sucker punch to the gut and the surprise threw the media into shock.
The best way to disrupt the news cycle is to spring the news on people cold.
