If it wasn’t for all the people taking video of themselves proudly participating in these riots, we would never be able to sort out what actually happened. The poor kid probably has no idea exactly what happened. Fortunately, or unfortunately he will be able to read and watch all of these accounts. It is amazing to me that we have not got a life history to go along with all the accounts and phone videos that the hangers-on are coming forward with.
What grand irony that all this video comes from people who want to see him hang.

I’ve been struck by that, as well.
It says he has led a quiet life, so far (he’s only 17). His family, too. They must have tried to find something they could leverage against him and all I can find is that he is a libertarian who agreed with anti-racism, but did not agree with the rioting and violence. Not the narrative they are looking for.
