President Trump delivered one of the best speeches of his political career Thursday night as he accepted the Republican National Conventions nomination for a second term, boosting his chances for reelection.
The presidents 70-minute speech was highly effective in the sense that he drew clear and arguably persuasive contrasts between himself and former Vice President Joe Biden in many areas, including their broad-based visions for America, the economy, and law enforcement.
In a way that was reminiscent of Trumps positioning during the 2016 campaign, the president made it clear that he is running as an outsider and a non-politician against Democratic presidential nominee Biden, who Trump characterized as embodying the political class and the establishment.

I see your point but he was not ever a ‘solid’ supporter from what I saw. He was always objective and had criticisms for either or both of the Clintons.
Earlier he was and worked for Bill Clinton in the 90s.

Doug Schoen is no Pat Caddell, but he’s in the same mold.
He came across as a Leader last night.
People want leaders, not people who just agree with them.
I had a die-hard Democrat ask me if I have fact-checked the lies Trump told lastnight. I replied by saying that I don’t trust the fact-checkers and disregard them. I left it at that as I can’t stomach a battle with a liberal today.

A lot of us are wondering that. Some of it may be reaching North Carolina, but that would most likely only account for a small part.
Do they think Virginia need to be shored up?
In any event, it is money they can’t use in other states. That’s a good thing.
