Just moments before the President was about to speak Thursday evening, a leftist mob of so-called "protesters" surrounding the White House assaulted an elderly couple walking on the street nearby.
And D.C. Metro police officers stood by on a nearby sidewalk and did absolutely nothing.
Protesters followed and heckled the elderly man and woman who was wearing a Trump 2020 t-shirt.
Get the f**k out! a protester shouted through a megaphone at the couple. Why? the man can be heard responding.
A female protester could be seen running at the man and pushing him. The man continued walking, as protesters continued to push him from behind.
He could be heard saying he was there to watch fireworks.
Fireworks were planned to be set off later that evening at the National Mall after President Trump accepted the Republican presidential nominee.
Protesters threw water on the man as he walked and then sucker-punched him, knocking him to the ground, according to videos posted by Daily Caller journalist Phillip Nieto and Townhall journalist Julio Rosas. According to Rosas, there was blood on his face.

These aggressive rioters assaulting people need to be locked up for felony assault.
Nice. Thank you.
When this woman assaulted him he should have shot her on the spot. We are past talking and the only way that the rioters/anarchists/ANTIFA terrorists are going to learn that their rights stop where mine begin is to see their comrades laying on the ground in a big puddle of blood.
The terrorists do not believe they have to obey any laws or respect the rights of anyone else. That belief and perception is dead wrong and they need to see some of that happening.
So, now, it must be proven to them that they too must obey the laws and their are consequences when they don’t.
If the cops had been doing their jobs we would not be where we are right now.
