Lunging for the knife after the cop ordered him to stand still is a problem. Cops aren't trained to allow felons to retrieve weapons to make it a fairer fight.

Uh, unarmed does NOT mean undangerous. Since none of us were present, hard for us to determine what caused the LEO to fire. One would suspect that most LEO are extra sensitive to any altercation at this point.

I suggest we all wait for the investigation into this incident.
