No, this author is fundamentally wrong. This is not an “error” or a “mistake” or “unintended consequences”. The Democrat leaders are in a criminal conspiracy with the insurrectionists.
I think you are right, but I don’t know that it is a conspiracy at their level or they are simply lemmings who follow the party line from the media.
This kind of stuff is NOT happening in republican led areas. They have tried, but it has not been tolerated. It is happening in deep blue areas with democrat leadership.
Yet, despite this fact, the MSM is blaming Trump from the civil unrest. The American people are not so stupid that they cannot see what is happening here.
