> Why have American troops invaded Syria? <

I could tell you exactly why American troops invaded Normandy in 1944. But as I noted earlier, I have no idea why American troops invaded Syria. And I don’t think the average American knows either.

Some say it was to counter ISIS. Okay. But then we should be supporting the Syrian government. They are fighting ISIS too. But wait. We are supposed to hate the Syrian government. Obama called for Assad to be removed.

Then there’s the Russians. They are fighting ISIS (good). But they also support the Syrian government (bad).

So who are our allies there? Who are our enemies? No one seems to know.

We have nothing to gain in the region, noting they’re willing to learn from us, and nothing we need from them. It’s time to leave.

wow.

Someone commented that they trust Trump

I do too but the days of blind trust are over for me, I don’t care who is president.

When people just “trust” without being informed and educated as to the decisions its leaders make, we end up in trouble.

thanks for the info

I watched the video. Nudged it at best. Far from ramming it. If our soldiers are claiming concussion from that little nudge we really are growing snowflake woosies today

Syria is a lot closer to Russia than it is to America. We have no business being there

Careful there. Arctic oil fields are a lot closer to Russia than they are to America. You want to give those away, too?

I’d have to see video to assess fault. We already know that the US Navy can’t drive ships. And the Army has a history of traffic accidents.

On the other hand, there are enough Youtube videos of Russian drivers that it could be their fault and still be an accident.

That was me. Have never been to the M E. Never served in the military. Don't know much about oil business.

My trust of PDKT in this instance may seem, may be, naive, but for me to uncork a ateong opinion otherwise would be only weakly supported by my “general knowledge” And PDJT seems to me to be competent and pro-American.

Drunk Russians shouldn’t be allowedi

I've met drunken Soviet's at Nick's # 1 in Bangkok. That was a restaurant well know for real Goulash. Every table had a chess set.

A couple of our guys could hold their own playing chess with them. We, (both sides,) were drinking.

Another time at the Soviet Embassy in Bangkok, I and one other guy met a young Soviet employee who came to their gate to see what we wanted at 3am. He was sober. We weren't. He told us to come back at 9 am.

Because being born in Kenya and educated in a madrassa in Indonesia do not make you like Christians. “My Muslim faith.....er....Christian faith”

Wolf in sheep’s clothing, that Obama.

Whose side are we on? Who are we fighting?

At one point, the CIA backed forces were fighting the US Army backed forces in Syria.

As the whole mess, it all dates back to when the Obama regieme was overthrowing moderate governments in the middle east and north Africa to replace them with Islamic militants. Assad refused to roll over for the Obama backed terrorists, and fought on alone until Putin saw an opportunity. That gave the Egyptians the fortitude to overthrow the Islamic militants that Obama had installed there. Unfortunately, the Turks weren't as successful as they lacked the will to do what was necessary.

Now, if you want to look at a real Obama - Clinton mess, check out what is going on in Libya.

ASSAD/RUSSIA WON THE WAR. We should get out and let them pick up the pieces. We have more important fish to fry. This is Russia’s mess now. I say Good Luck to them. It will take Years for Assad to re-build what is left of Syria. Putin will find that Naval Base is an expensive piece of real estate.

*** Careful there. Arctic oil fields are a lot closer to Russia than they are to America. You want to give those away, too? ***

Give them away? We have illegally invaded a sovereign Country, and are plundering their natural resources.

We are destroying lives, the economy, the cultural treasures of a Country we thought would be easy pickings. I believe you are confused.

The only “giving away” to Russia was the HRC Uranium One/Rosatom deal by our former Secretary of State.

Just get American troops out of Syria...
Or replace them with the idiots who sent them there in the first place...
