I pity these kids as not only has their education been compromised, but they are missing out on all those school activities like music programs, athletics, school plays etc. as well having real social contact with friends. These draconian measures are not justified by any real science and are leaving them emotionally scarred.
Reality is they’re doing better than fine. They are better off not institutionalized. They’re learning to play out in the neighborhoods and their time isn’t constantly structured with people hovering over them.
Home schooled kids are better at social interaction and these kids from institutions are now learning some of that.
