1/2 of the commercial breaks on cable channels are “hard breaks” which means they happen automatically.

Those breaks are reserved for the local cable company. A silent code is sent and starts the commercial. This is an improvement over the days when it was all done via video tape. The tape players were on timers and they would override signal going out from the cable office or “head end.”

No one is responsible. It’s not a conspiracy.

umm. Right. And how often did it happen during the DNC? Fox seems to have no problem running through "hard breaks". Hell, they have Trump on over an hour in the mornings. Not a hard break in site.
